Shenzhen Students Lift UFOs With Their Minds

At QSI International School Shenzhen, students recently discovered a remarkable superpower: the ability to lift flying objects using only their minds. In a captivating demonstration organized by Mind & AI, children competed in a Mind-Controlled UFO game, where focused attention made toy drones soar through the air.

The school buzzed with excitement as students sat in quiet concentration, wearing special headbands that read their brain activity. When a child’s focus reached a certain level—measured as an “attention score” on a screen—a small UFO placed in their palm whirred to life and hovered upward. The higher their focus, the more tricks the drone performed, from simple lifts to mid-air flips.

Before the competition, students practiced calming their minds through short breathing exercises and visualization techniques. They learned to push away distractions by imagining their thoughts gathering into a beam of light, much like sunlight focusing through a magnifying glass. “It felt like magic,” said one student, whose drone danced gracefully above her hand. “But my teacher said it’s really the power of my own brain!” The Principal of QSI Shenzhen, praised the event’s impact: “Children saw firsthand how their focus can achieve the incdeible. This isn’t just about technology—it’s about unlocking their inner potential.”

The event, designed by neuroscientist Dr. Gao Junling of Mind & AI, aims to make brain science tangible for young learners. “When a child moves an object with their mind,” Dr. Gao explained, “they learn that their attention is a real force. It transforms how they approach challenges—in school and in life.”
